1. You and us
ShadeMirror (“the app”) is provided by Shanghai Youyue Information Technology Co., Ltd.. By downloading and using it, you accept these terms.
The app is an offline tool: it requires no account and sends none of your data to any server. There is therefore no relationship in which you entrust your data to us — your data stays in your own hands throughout.
2. What you may do
The app grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it.
You may use every feature freely and put the images it produces to any use at all — posting them on social platforms, printing them, using them commercially. Those images are yours, not ours.
3. What you should not do
- Decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law permits it
- Repackage and redistribute the app, or publish something posing as it
- Use the app to make content intended to deceive other people
4. Free and paid
What is free
The core of the app is entirely free, with no time limit:
- Eleven looks and ten occasions
- Live try-on, mirror mode, photo try-on
- Step-by-step makeup guides
- Sharing and export (four layouts)
What is metered

Once you reach the allowance you can delete older entries to make room, or subscribe to the full version to remove the limits.

Full-version subscription
- Product type: an auto-renewing annual subscription
- What it does: removes the two allowances above
- Price: whatever the App Store or Google Play shows at the time of purchase
- The subscription renews within 24 hours of expiry unless you turn renewal off
beforehand
- The renewal charge is taken from your account within 24 hours of expiry
- You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in system settings
(iOS: Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; Android: Play Store → Subscriptions)
- After turning it off, the current period runs to its end and nothing further
is charged
Refunds
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds are handled by them. We do not hold your payment details and cannot issue a refund on your behalf. Apply through:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: Play Store → Order history
5. About what the try-on shows
Real results depend on the product's texture, your skin, your technique and the light you are in. We work to keep the simulation close to reality — changing only colour, and never retouching your skin, is precisely to that end — but
In the “add your own product” feature, the colour comes from a sample you take off a photograph, and its accuracy depends on the light you photographed it in, which is not something we can control.
6. What we are not liable for
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Differences between the simulated look and the real one
- Data lost through device failure, an OS upgrade, or a mistaken action
(your data exists only on your device; we cannot restore it for you)
- Any dispute arising from content produced with the app
or changing phones will lose it. Please keep your own copies of any look image that matters to you.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced inside the app. Continuing to use it means accepting the updated terms.

8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where Shanghai Youyue Information Technology Co., Ltd. is established.
